Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
- 1/4 cup maple sugar
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
To make your own maple sugar, mix together: - 1/2 cup (120 ml) maple syrup
- 3/8 cup (75 grams) of raw sugar or granulated white sugar
- 1/2 tsp. pure maple extract
Directions:
Heat oil in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Add popcorn, sugar, and salt to pan. Cover and cook 3 minutes or until kernels begin to pop, shaking pan frequently. Continue cooking 2 minutes, shaking pan constantly to prevent burning. When popping slows down, remove pan from heat. Let stand, covered, until all popping stops.
