Here are some ways to liven things up for your child

Mix up the milk

If your child does not like milk or is lactose intolerant,* let PediaSure help provide the protein, calcium, and vitamin D. To encourage your child to accept milk, try mixing half milk and half PediaSure in a cup. Then begin to decrease the amount of PediaSure over time.

Sweeten Naturally

Top cereal with fruit slices instead of sugar. Fruit is naturally sweet, colorful, and more fun anyway.

Try it with toppings

Toddlers are into toppings. Putting nutritious, familiar favorites on top of less desirable foods can broaden the finicky toddler’s menu. Also try adding a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on vegetables or top banana or apple slices with peanut butter.

Mixing may work wonders

If your child initially refuses a particular item, try some of these tips:

  • Prepare it a different way next time – instead of mashed butternut squash, try chunks baked in the oven with garlic and rosemary
  • Let your child mix mashed potatoes with peas or corn
  • Try spaghetti sauce on top of cubes of meat
  • Have them mix their own creation

Dip it

Dunk fruits and veggies in sauces, dips, or dressings—anything that’s tasty or adds interest. Try dipping the same item in different things to explore different combinations.

Make it a Smoothie
